Can I put rocks and wood in my BD tank from outside?

I was wondering if I could get wood and rocks from outside to put in my tank for my bearded dragon tank? Or do I have to soak them is water or bake them or what? Can I feed my BD Phoenix worms and silk worms with some crickets because they are hard to get? Or should I order 1000 crickets from online for $40 and just some silk worms? Sorry for leading off the question please help Ty
