If you were given a traffic ticket, and paid for it; would it be fair if you were not allowed to drive again?

If your answer is no, that's what the irrational bigots are trying to impose on the illegal immigrants by declaring that amnesty should not be granted to illegal immigrants. The definition of amnesty is,if I am correct: the act of forgiveness for a past offense. When someone takes a traffic red light, it's a violation of the law, a ticket is served. If the person pays for the ticket, does community service, goes to jail or does whatever form of pay, that person is not getting any amnesty for the violation, is not getting any pardon for the past offense. Now what about if everybody says: well, you know what even after you have paid for your ticket, you are not allowed to drive on the road again. Or what about if we impose such a draconian punishment to all who violates the laws. Many of us would not stand such harsh and cruel sanctions. In a Society in which wouldn't grant another chance to those who violates its laws, even after paying for it, would not sustain itself, it would collapse, because who hasn't or will at one point violate any law? Thus if an illegal immigrant pays a fine for being here illegally, is he or she getting amnesty? I believe they're not. And what about if we impose the same punitive measures the next time you violate the law?
