Those kooky Republicans! Is it O.K. to invent a terror threat if it helps them p legislation?

I find it despicable that any politician would use the threat of a terror attack or a prior terror attack for political gain. Having said that, you and I have the sense to know that Bush plays the threat level meter like a fiddle. I find it hard to believe that ANY member of congress is fooled by a threat essment from this administration. If they voted for any legislation as a result of a threat report from this administration without independent ysis, they are lazy, stupid or, more likely, both.
