Why did the bears trade kyle orton to the broncos for jay cutler?

Not just Orton, a FIRST round pick too. But you HAVE to give Cutler the benefit of the doubt, he plays for probably the WORST offensive line in football, he is a tough though, every game he played, he knew he was getting sacked at least 5 times..
