How to become less dominant?

... I mean I like a guy, but he is really scared/intimidated by me, cause I'm really straightforward, not afraid of anything etc. It's just I know he is attracted to me/likes me but is wayyy to scared to make any moves even if he wants. Can really talk to me just drunk, but kinda hinted I wouldn't like him calling me only drunk... I know he is scared and I want to lay low, but I really don't know how?
