Is it okay to see what your ex is doing by looking at his myspace?

He got really mad that I was looking up pictures of someone he hooked up with after he friended that person on myspace. Is looking at his public profile on myspace wrong and a betrayal of trust? Or is it fair game because he put it on a public profile?
