How can i prepare for my essay exam tomorrow for ap bio?

we had our multiple choice part today and i think i did pretty well. i need to actually raise my score with my essays. on the past 2 exams, my essay score has actually brought my total down. how can i fix this? by the way, we're on everything having to do with dna. including protein synthesis, mendel, gene interactions, all that good stuff. thanks!
